Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for 2,540 of MiniButtons, 32K (R/W). The government intends to contract on a sole source basis with MACSEMA, INC., 62971 Plateau Drive, Suite, Bend, OR 97701. MACSEMA, INC. is the only known source for providing the memory buttons that are compatible with the existing utilized memory button reader and fingertip reader accessory systems. It is essential that these memory buttons be fully compatible with the equipment designed to support them in order to provide for interoperability. This procurement is being processed in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This is a request for quotation (RFQ) number N00421-02-T-0179. Procurement will be made via a DPAS DO rated government purchase order, which will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-09 and DFARS DCN 20020730. The applicable NAICS code is 334119 and the applicable FSC code is 7025. Responses to this notice of intent to negotiated with MacSema, Inc. should be submitted no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis to Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters, Attn: Ms. Jessica Tebbenkamp, Contract Specialist, AIR 251622, 21983 Bundy Road, Bldg 441, Patuxent River, MD 20670. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. See Numbered Note 22.
