- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ 08733 intends to procure on a noncompetitive basis with Dowty Propellers Repair and Overhaul- Sterling Virginia for the following items: Blade Angle Checking Tool (P/N TL5490) quantity 4 each and Spanner Beta Tube (P/N 65-0042-00) quantity 1 each in support of the KC-130J aircraft for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Dowty Propellers Repair and Overhaul is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to provide the required items. Firms that recognize and support the KC-130J Aircraft are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
