- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management, Battle Mountain Field Office, NV has a requirement for Drill Seeding in strips for approximately 2,145 acres over a 4,285 acre area. The project is called the N.W. Diamond Valley Fire Defense Project and is located in Eureka County, approximately 15 miles north of Eureka. Contractor is to furnish equipment, transportation, labor, supplies, and material, to drill seed five treatment areas. Minimum requirement for the Contractor-furnished tractor(s) is 90hp and be equipped with either 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive and duals (if needed). The Government will furnish the rangeland drills, hitches, specialized parts, spare tires for the drills, and some fire prevention equipment. Performance period is 48 work days from date of award (to be complete prior to December 11, 2002). Solicitation No. NAQ020185 will be issued on or about September 10, 2002. The solicitation will be made available in electronic format and may be accessed via the Internet and the Interior Department Electronic Acquisition System (IDEAS). There is no cost to you for this service. Please follow the following steps: 1) obtain a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number (D&B) from Dun & Bradstreet through the Internet (http://www.dnb.com) or by calling them at 1-800-333-0505. Only vendors with valid D&Bs may view complete solicitations and submit quotes through IDEAS. 2) Register your firm on the DOI web site at: http://ideasec.nbc.gov/. When the website home page appears, go to Vendor Registration, the second option down on the left hand side of the screen. Here you will find complete instructions on how to register. 3) Once you are registered you may query the system for this RFQ and download the files. Click on the RFQ form and clauses and attachments. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115112, Soil prep, planting and cultivating, the Product Service Code is F004-Forest/Range Fire Rehabilitation. The size standard to qualify as a small business concern is making less than or equal to annual average gross revenue of the concern taken for the last 3 fiscal years of $6.0 million.
