- NA The Military District of Washington Acquisition Center intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to The Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area Research Fellows Program for University Studies and Analysis Su pport for National Defense University, Washington DC. The proposed contract action is for a base year and four option years, period of performance for the base year is 1 October 2002 through 30 September 2003. The proposed contract action is for services f or which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis. The solicitation will be available on or about 23 September 2002. A determination of the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of th e Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 611710 and the size standard is $6 million.
