- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1392722050300 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 337920 with a 500-employee size standard. This solicitation is for the procurement and installation of window shading for the Air Traffic Control Tower at North Auxiliary Air Field, North, South Carolina, (See Statement of Work below). This requirement is not currently funded. Award will be made if funds become available. Pricing must be valid through 30 Sep 02. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items Evaluation The Government will award a contract resulting form this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1. Price- The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes for the total price for the requirement. 2. Past Performance- if the lowest priced evaluated responsible offer is judged to have an exceptional performance risk rating, that offer represents the best value for the Government and the evaluation process stops at this point. Award shall be made to that offeror without further consideration of any other offers. Offerors shall provide 3-5 references of your most recent relevant projects. Price and past performance will be assigned equal weight in terms of the evaluation process. North Field Auxiliary Airfield Tower Cab Statement of Work Install 12 each pull-down/roll-up transparent plastic window shades IAW FAA-SO-463-300, Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration ? Southern Region. Tower Cab Description: Typical Square Air Traffic Control Tower with three windowpanes per side for a total of 12 separate windowpanes. Measurements: There are four square shaped windows, which are approx. 70 in Wide x 64 in High, and eight trapezoid shaped windows which are approx. 77 inches wide across the top and 67 inches wide at the base. The trapezoid windows are also 64 inches in height. Film Transparency: Light to medium/ to be determined from sample provided by contractor It is highly recommended the contractor make a site visit to verify measurements and layout. The contractor shall be responsible for ordering the proper amount of products and installing the product according to manufacturers specifications. Any quantities listed in this statement of work or on the drawing are approximations.
