SOLICITATION CANCELLATION: CANCELLATION OF RFQ DTCG23-02-R-HP6011 - PURCHASE OF 9K00 DIGITAL SCALES AND DM300 AND DM500 MAILING SYSTEMS - Request for Quotations (RFQ) DTCG23-02-R-HP6011 for purchase of 9K00 digital scales and DM300 and DM500 mailing systems is hereby cancelled in full. The cancelled solicitation was a best value solicitation. The reason for this cancellation is due to the reevaluation of government requirements. Once the reevaluation of requirements has been accomplished another solicitation will be issued. The Contracting Officer thanks the offerors who initially responded to the cancelled RFP. To further this policy, the Commandant has created the position of Solicitation Ombudsman who is empowered to investigate issues raised by prospective offerors and resolve them, where possible, without expensive and time-consuming litigation. Potential offerors who believe that a Coast Guard solicitation is unfair or otherwise defective should first direct their concerns to the cognizant contracting officer.
