- Wednesday, Sept. 18 - Thursday, Sept. 19 - Homeland Security Technology Expo and Conference. Private Sector businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their technological innovations in an effort to protect the homeland at the Expo hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, in conjunction with the Office of Homeland Security. Federal, state and local government procurement officials, law enforcement and other public safety organizations, Members of Congress and staff, and the private sector can learn more about the products currently being developed. Over two hundred businesses will showcase at the Expo from industries including telecommunications, computer security, biotechnology, hazardous materials detection, first-responder equipment, transportation and more. 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Expo hours, daily 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Workshops, daily DC Armory, 2400 E.
