Description
The LE Directorate at Robins AFB, Georgia has a requirement for the depot overhaul of R-12 Hydrant Servicing Vehicles (HSV). The requirement is 100% set aside for small business participation and will be written for a period of 7 years. The requirement will be procured using FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation, and will employ the AFFARS Performance Price Trade-Off procedures for a best value award decision. An Appendix A, Work Specification, will be used. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed-price requirements-type contract as described in FAR 16.503. The approximate date for release of the Request for Proposal is 20 June 2002. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, relative to this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested the Ombudsman, Kathy Cames, can be contacted at (478) 926-2604. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or the contracting officer but to communicate serious concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
