- Description
- The work involves furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, permits, taxes, and services necessary to construct a 1,000 square foot postal facility, in accordance with USPS approved specifications and drawings. The USPS-leased site is located at Highway 17 and Bridges Drive in Demossville, Kentucky. The work includes, but is not limited to, site work, concrete, masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, paving, and landscaping. A septic tank will need to be installed. All downspouts will be connected to an underground storm water collection. Public water, telephone, and electricity are available to the site. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all local permits and coordinating all connections and hookups to the facility. The contractor will install USPS furnished counters and post office boxes. The contractor will obtain and install interior and exterior postal signs. The estimated cost range is between $180,000 to $200,000 with construction completion within 150 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. Award will be based on price and evaluation factors as outlined in the solicitation package. The contractor must be licensed in the state and county where the work is to be performed. Plans and specifications will be available on or about July 15, 2002, at a cost of $50 per set (non-refundable), from the architect engineer firm of Roth Partnership, 212 E. 3rd Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202; telephone (513) 381-2680. Mail check or money order payable to Roth Partnership. Plans and specifications will also be available for inspection at area plan rooms: Dayton Builders Exchange, Allied Construction Industries, Construction Market Data Group, and Dodge. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. Upon award, the name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information.
