- Description
- The U.S. Government seeks to lease approximately 80,000 rentable square feet of space to house the Bureau of Public Debt (BPD) in Parkersburg, West Virginia. This project is an opportunity in design and construction excellence. Requirements: The current Government space requirement is for 80,000 rentable square feet yielding a minimum of 71,483 of ANSI/BOMA Office Area space. The Lessor must be capable of providing contiguous expansion space of no less than 120% over the lease term. Site: The BPD building will be constructed on a site of approximately 6.12 acres located in Parkersburg, West Virginia, between 4th and Avery Streets. The Government has negotiated an assignable Option to purchase the site and the Option will be transferred to the successful offeror for the purposes of developing office space for the Bureau of Public Debt. Lease Term: The lease term is 15 years firm term. Services will be included in the lease rate as outlined in the Solicitation for Offers (SFO). Design Excellence: As a design excellence project, perspective offerors will be evaluated using a two-step process in accordance with the Source Selection Procedures outlined in the solicitation. Phase 2 of the process will involve a design competition. The Architectural Firms represented in this Phase will receive an equal share of a $30,000 stipend towards their design. This solicitation is a full and open competition. SFO: The solicitation will be available on or about July 1, 2002.
