Description

This solicitation invites proposals for the renovation of approximately 16,150 sq. ft. in an existing building at 5421 Highway 100, Nashville, TN into an alternate quarters, full service postal station. Contractors must be licensed to do work in the State of Tennessee and will be evaluated based on their experience with large renovation projects in occupied space, and their experience in phased projects. The Postal Service intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforming to the solicitation offers the best value to the Postal Service, considering price, price-related factors and other evaluation factors specified elsewhere in the solicitation. Work includes, but is not limited to a new Postal Store, cameras, steel frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, electrical, mechanical, utilities and all other work associated with postal facilities. Minority-owned subcontracting and women-owned subcontracting participation is encouraged. The subcontracting goals for this contract is a minimum of 10% for minority-owned businesses and a minimum of 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.20. Proposal/Bid Bonds are not required, but letters from your Bank & Bonding company ARE part of the evaluation. Performance and Payment Bonds (100%) will be required from the successful offeror within 5 days of Notice of Intent to Award. ***PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE is planned for July 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the site.
