- Description
- Previously synopsized RFQ 02Q0142 is hereby cancelled and replaced with the following RFQ 02Q0142A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. Request for Quotation number 02Q0142A is hereby issued for this requirement through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED. The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) has a requirement for: BRAND NAME - CLIN* 0001: 2 EA** Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Model FLHTPI, Year 2003 Anniversary Edition - All White, to include delivery and set-up; CLIN 0002: 2 EA Harley Davidson Sidecars, Year 2003, to be delivered fully assembled and ready to bolt on; CLIN 0003: 2 EA - One (1) Year Maintenance Packages to include oil changes/lubes (every 2,500 miles), pick-up, delivery and labor charges (NOTE: sidecars are attached to USSS motorcycles for the period November 1 thru March 31). The estimated yearly mileage per vehicle is 25,000 to 30,000 miles; CLIN 0004: 2 EA Chrome Cooling Fans (#91550-00A); CLIN 0005: 6 EA Heavy Duty Rubber Mounts for cooling fans; CLIN 0006: 2 EA Covers, Tour Motorcycle; CLIN 0007: 2 EA Covers, Sidecar w/Logo; CLIN 0008: 4 EA Hand Grips, Black H Grips/HD Motor Chrome (#56285-98); CLIN 0009: 2 EA Air Deflector Kits (#58120-96); CLIN 0010: 2 EA Molding, Wind (#59219-96); CLIN 0011: 2EA Caps (#43376-00). The desired delivery schedule is 15 October 2002; the required delivery schedule is 130 days after receipt of order. The following FAR Provisions and Clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Paragraph (a) insert: "The government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible offeror whose quotation, conforming to the Request for Quotation as provided herein, is lowest in price."; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items. The following Clauses cited in 52.212-5 are applicable: 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35, Equal Opportunity for Special Disabled Veterans, Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and Other Eligible Veterans; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled, Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and Other Eligible Veterans; 52.225-1, Buy American Act-Supplies; 52.225-13, Restriction on Certain Foreign Purchases; and 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration. The FAR Provisions and Clauses may be accessed via the world wide web at: www.arnet.gov/far/. Telephone requests for copies of FAR Provisions and Clauses will not be accepted. Quotations must contain the following: 1) proposal on how the maintenance requirements will be met (pickup and delivery); 2) pricing for each CLIN cited above; and 3) completed and signed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications. Any questions regarding this solicitation/synopsis must be received no later than September 10, 2002, 12:00 PM Local Time.
