Description
NA The Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement for the procurement of the Digital Topographic Support System- High Volume Map Production (DTSS-HVMP) in quantities as reflected below. The procurement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract. NAICS code is 33419. The solicitation will be available on or around 1 October and will be solicited subject to the availability of funds. Contingent upon the availability of funds, a contract may or may not be awarded as a result of the solicitation. The DTSS-HVMP consists of large format, high speed printing hardware and software; high speed, roll paper cutter hardware; computer workstation and memory peripheral hardware; and communications equipment shock mounted/isolated in a 20? ISO shelter (20? x 8? x 8?). The shelter has Environmental Control Units (ECUs) and ducting (for heating and cooling), Gas Particulate Filter Units (GPFUs) (for filtering air-borne chemicals and biological agents from entering the shelter), Signal and Power Entry Panels, a fresh air fan, a black out curtain, cabinets and shelves, and interior lights. Shock skids are placed on the bottom of the shelter. The shelter assembly is mounted on a standard US army 5 ton vehicle (900 and 1000 series). The Army intends to procur e up to 24 of these DTSS-HVMP configurations. It is anticipated that the quantities in the base procurement may be up to 10 units and the remaining additional units will be purchased in option quantities. The contractor will be responsible for manufacturing the shelter assembly and equipment mounts, modifying the 900 and 1000 series trucks to accept the 20? ISO shelter, installing all hardware and software within the shelter (printers, cutters, equipment ra cks/mounts, ECUs, GPFUs, shelves, cabinets, etc), contractor equipment testing, Government First Article Test support, and Logistics Demonstration Support. The contractor will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the existing Drawing Package, Technical Manuals (Operations Manual, -23; Maintenance Manual ?10; and Software Users Manual), and Lesson Plans. The design will be controlled by a Purchase Description and a Statement of Work . The solicitation will be available on the US Army Corps of Engineers web site at the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office web site for download. The website is www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/ . A drawing package is available for bidders by request on CD-ROM. A pre-proposal conference may be held in Alexan dria, VA as part of the solicitation process. Information on obtaining the drawing package and/or the pre-proposal conference will be included in the solicitation.
