- Description
- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Datek-Ohmeda to furnish and install a S/5 ADU System for the VA Hospital, Madison WI. NAICS 339112. The system must combine an anesthetic delivery system and information management systems with essential physiologic monitoring in an integrated manner. The equipment shall include an automated preoperative data recording, with essential operative anesthetic functions, inhalation agent delivery, ventilation and physiologic (vital sign) monitoring into a completely integrated workstation. An essential component is to have the ability to incorporate the data obtained into the existing DVA's Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). The VA believes that Datek-Ohmeda is the only company, which can provide this equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 9/13/02. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Datek-Ohmeda.
