- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a need to deliver a 6-week training course entitled, "Highway Materials Engineering." The course is primarily for State Highway Agency (SHA) engineers who require a basic knowledge of highway materials. These individuals will generally be staff professionals. They either have been assigned or have the potential to be assigned to responsible positions in the highway materials field, e.g., district or regional materials engineer or engineer in the materials central office operation. This is an existing course number NHI course 131023. This is a full and open solicitation acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration. The solicitation and all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www1.eps.gov/spg/DOT/FHWA/postdate_1.html which will list all the FHWA business opportunities sorted by posted date. Interested parties must download the RFP from that site. NO WRITTEN, TELEPHONIC, FACSIMILE, OR E-MAIL REQUESTS will be honored, however, interested parties can register at the aforementioned site to receive procurement announcements or notifications of postings by e-mail. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the FebBizOpps website for any solicitation amendments. NO OTHER PROCUREMENT INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transportation, Short-Term Lending Program offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
