- AIRCRAFT MODIFICATION RECONNAISSANCE PLATFORM CONSOLECAMERA INTERFACE - The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is seeking information from vendors regarding modification and/or equipping a light to mid-size business jet to be used for aerial reconnaissance and photography. Modification will include window or windows and mounts (both within and/or outside of pressure vessel) for vertical terrain imaging cameras (film, digital, and HD TV videos). Current aircraft is a Aero Commander 695B, with one round window approximately 20" in diameter. This window is used for a KS87 or KS116 camera and video camera. Sensors from the current aircraft will be used in the new aircraft as well as new sensors. The aircraft will also require two optical glass windows on either side to take imagery with a hand held camera. All modifications shall be performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, including compliance with Reduced Vertical Separation Minimums (RVSM).
