Description

This a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance the Format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information Included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) No 206074. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 3826 and the NAICS Code is 421490. The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Canberra to acquire the following: Quantity (13) DSA-2K Digital Spectrum Analyzer with integrated MCA, digital based pulse processing, 16K spectral memory, HVPS, Stabilizer, and Ethernet interface (none-NIM), (Quantity 9) Scintillation Preamps, and (Quantity 1) Start up assistance, 5 days on site for system integration, calibrations and set up (expenses included). The following FAR Clauses shall apply to this solicitation: FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items FAR Part 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Electronic Funds Transfer, and 52.212-5 Contract terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirement shall submit written quotations by mail or fax 301/827-7039. Evaluation/Award will be based on the technically acceptable quote that offers the best value to the government. The solicitation is issued on a sole source basis because the equipment is proprietary to the contractor. FAR provisions can be found at the following website: http://www.arnet.gov.
