- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Humboldt State University Foundation (HSUF) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). HSUF is being contracted as a requisite of enlisting the services of Dr. David Hankin and Dr. Eric Loudenslager, Department of Fisheries, HSUF. Dr. Hankin is the leading expert in the field of juvenile salmonid visual based survey designs and abundance estimation procedures (Hankin 1984, Hankin and Reeves 1988, Dolloff et al. 1993), and with Dr. Loudenslager is uniquely qualified to develop and implement a statistically rigorous genetics-based method for estimating the abundance of juvenile steelhead in the presence of cutthroat trout and their hybrids in Northern California streams. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
