Description
U.S. Government Seeks Sources for Leasing Social Security Administration Project No. 0CA0882 Summary Requirement: The General Services Administration desires to lease approximately 16,438 rentable square feet of office space, and must be located on the ground floor. The rentable square foot number must yield a minimum of 13,613 to a maximum of 14,294 BOMA usable square feet for the Social Security Administration to house personnel, furnishings, and equipment, together with seven (7) designated on-site parking spaces including one (1) handicap space for the Social Security Administration. Building Requirement: The General Services Administration will use the Quality Solicitation for Offers to satisfy this requirement in a office building in a section of the city that is professional and prestigious in appearance, well maintained, of modern design, and of sound and substantial construction. The requested space must be fully serviced, and in a building capable of being altered to meet the Government?s needs and security requirements as well as requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The building must conform to the seismic requirements for new construction of the current (1999) edition of the Uniform Building Code (UBC), or the 1976 Edition for existing buildings. The building offered must not contain sprayed on fire proofing or acoustical treatment containing asbestos. Location / Delineated Area: The building offered must be located within the Business Area of Chula Vista, California, within the following boundaries: North: E Street from Interstate 5 to Interstate 805 East: Interstate 805 from E Street to East L Street South: East L Street and L Street from Interstate 805 to Interstate 5 West: Interstate 5 Lease term: The term is for ten (10) years, eight (8) years firm. Occupancy Date: Occupancy must be within 270 days after receipt of the GSA approved layout. Expressions of interest should include the following: 1. Building name and address. 2. Rentable square feet and rate per rentable square foot. 3. Confirm BOMA Method of Measurement, usable yield for available space by floor and building common area factor. Owners and Authorized Agents: Brokers and agents may represent prospective landlords, but any properties or proposals submitted by the brokers/agents must be accompanied by written evidence they are authorized to represent the building?s ownership.
