- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for a mixer to mix pvc roller compounds. The Mixer features required are: four (4) gallon mixer with a holding capacity of 5.25 gallons, - Air/hydraulic lift for vertical raising of mixing can, vacuum operation up to 29.5 inches height, stainless steel wetted parts, all interior and exterior stainless steel surfaces, safety limit switches to prevent operation when stirrers are in raised position, sealed stainless steel gearbox, stainless steel agitators and agitator shafts, variable speed planetary rectangular stirrer blade, planetary drive motor to be 1.5 HP, TEFC, inverter-duty motor, 24 to 70 RMP, variable speed disperser blade, disperser drive motor to be 3 HP, TEFC, inverter-duty motor, 1150 to 3450 RPM, stainless steel vacuum hood w/two three inch diameter combination sight and charge ports, half coupling for vacuum exhaust, viton o-ring seal on lower vacuum hood flange. Two (2) stainless steel vacuum mixing cans w/stainless steel handles, one inch stainless steel flush tank ball valve on bottom front of mix cans, casters on mix cans, control system to be 3 ph capable, 60HZ, 240 volt input w/2 illuminated ?Start? momentary push-buttons (green). Two (2) extended ?Stop? momentary push-button (red) raise and lower push-buttons for hydraulic lift. Two (2) variable frequency drives with keypads for controlling speed and on/off operation of each drive. Two (2) digital readouts displaying RPM or % of load, one 100 VA control power transformer, heavy duty steel bench with lower shelf and leveling mounts. Quantity: 1 EA. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses (see numbered note 1). The applicable North American Industry classification System (NAICS) code 333298 and the associated small business size standard is 500 employees. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ 19-108. Delivery shall be made within 30 days after receipt of purchase order. Deliver terms are F.O.B. Destination to Bureau of Engraving and Printing loading Dock at D Street, Between 13th and 14th street, S.W. Washington, D.C. 20228. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be price. All interested small businesses are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be is considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF1449, SF18 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall included the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, size status (that is, small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). If these items are available under GSA Schedule, please provide the schedule number. Quotations are due by 2:00 P.M., on September 16, 2002.
