- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation (RFQ) 094101 is assigned and shall be referenced on any quotation. All incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. The Standard Industrial Code is 5045, (NAICS code is 421430) with a business standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for Small Business - Small Purchases Set-Aside. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This contract action will result in a Firm Fixed Price - One Time Buy contract. The procurement is for SEVEN (7) DUAL INTEL 2.40GHz XEON PROCESSOR IMAGING WORKSTATIONS. The following are the minimum requirements for the hardware: Processor : Dual 2.40GHz Intel Xeon Processors , Intel NetBurst Microarchitecture, 512K level 2 advanced transfer cache, 400 MHz system bus, and Intel 860 Chipset with dual RDRAM memory banks. Memory: 2 GB DDR memory - using 184 pin 512MB DDR PC2100 266mhz ECC. Storage: 1 - 18GB Ultra 160/M SCSI 1 inch (10,000 rpm), 1 - 36GB Ultra 160/M SCSI 1 inch (10,000 rpm). Optical Drive: Wide UltraSCSI interface, 40MB/sec data transfer rate, 85ms Average Random Read, 512KB Buffer, Supported Media - CD-R, CD-RW, CD-Rom, and Windows Compatibility. SCSI Support: Ultra SCSI PCI Card & cable adapter. 160MB/sec performance on two channels, 64-bit connectivity, Two external 68-pin connectors, Two internal 68-pin connectors, One 50-pin connector, Windows Compatibility. PCMCIA CARD READER: 5.25IN PCMCIA 3 Slot Card Reader, PCI. Slot one compatibility w/type I, II, & III PCMCIA Cards. Slot two compatibility w/3.3V or 5V SmartMedia (SSFDC), Slot three compatibility w/Type I CompactFlash 3.3V or 5V. 400Kb/sec data transfer rate, upgradeable flash firmware, fully shielded enclosure, 50-pin SCSI interface, and Windows compatibility. Sound and Firewire Connectivity: External IEEE 1394 support and External PCI sound. Keyboard and mouse: Logitech cordless freedom opt K+M BLK. Windows OS: Windows XP Pro. The above listed characteristics are intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive. A one (1) year warranty for parts and labor is requested. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and are applicable to this acquisition: (FAR) provision 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offeror - Commercial Items" (OCT 2000); FAR provision 52.212-2, "Evaluation-Commercial Items" (JAN 1999); FAR clause 52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items" (FEB 2002); FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items" (MAY 2002), Subsection (a),(b) and (e) apply. Technical capabilities and Price will be the determining factors. When combined, technical capabilities are more important than price. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions.
