- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Data Sciences International, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. These are commercial items. This procurement is for a system that will provide online acquisition of cardiac function and physical activity parameters in the unrestrained mouse. It includes the following: 16 pressure and physical activity nominal battery typical cage size 33x33x15cm; 2 Dataquest ART data exchange matrix w/4m cable; 1 Dataquest acquisition and analysis system, including computer, monitor, software, board, and 4 meter cable; 8 receivers for plastic cages w/4m cable; 1 power cord to IDE for 110V power supply; 1 ambient pressure reference; 1 PA-C20 starter kit; 1 regel starter kit NTSC video; 1 regel syringe; 1 maintenance gold 12 month software maintenance contract for DQ ART 2.0 Gold; 1 TA11PA-C20 refurb; 2 power supply for ART (for both 110V and 220V); 1 PA-C20 practice catheters (4 per pkg); 1 training module; 1 training video; 1 mouse surgical kit. This system is required for on-going research projects and continuity of research data. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 10 days of date of notice to Elaine Shoaf at the above address or email shoaf1@niehs.nih.gov for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Data Sciences International. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
