- Description
- The work covered under this solicitation requires the contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, quality control, and supervision necessary to complete all required painting and paint related operations, per the specifications, plans, and terms and conditions of the resulting contract. The work to be performed in connection with this solicitation includes, but is not limited to: a. Painting existing exterior finishes, including structural walls, trim, fascia, doors, and other structural elements and attachments (excluding roofs and equipment) for Military Family Housing units. b. Painting existing exterior finishes, including structural walls, trim, fascia, doors, and other structural elements and attachments (excluding roofs and equipment) for various non-housing buildings on Andersen Air Force Base. c. Each housing building consists of concrete wall areas to be painted a single color, fascia trim, and 1-3 wood doors to be painted a second color. Factory finishes, such as baked enamel aluminum window or doorframes, will not be painted. Contractor must verify existing conditions. d. All other work identified in the specifications that may be required to complete projects. The contract awarded from this solicitation will be a firm fixed unit price Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity Contract. All work will be performed on property owned by the United States Air Force on Guam. The magnitude of the construction is between $10 and $25 million and includes the project cost for the basic contract year and four (4) one year options. The Government's guaranteed minimum obligation, for the duration of the contract, including all option years, is $700,000 and will be met in the first delivery order written against the basic contract. Performance periods will be negotiated for each delivery order. Performance and Payment Bonds or Alternate Payment Protections, depending upon the dollar amount of the delivery order, will be required for each delivery order. This solicitation is limited to 8(a)firms certified for participation in the 8(a) Program who are serviced by the Hawaii District Office of the Small Business Administration. 8(a) firms that are not serviced by the Hawaii District Office, but have a verifiable office and employees located within the geographical area served by the Hawaii District Office at the time of this announcement, are also eligible to submit an offer. Award will be made to the responsible, certified 8(a) offeror whose proposal is responsive and offers the best value to the Government based on price, experience, and past performance. We anticipate issuing Request for Proposal F64133-02-R0004 on or about 17 May, 2002. We will not issue paper copies of this solicitation. We will make the solicitation available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps)site on the World Wide Web at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
