- Description
- The system is a temperature monitoring, remote alarm & documentation system that meets stringent temperature control requirements of the Blood Bank refrigerators, freezers, & platelet incubators used to store transfusable blood products. The system is an environmental monitor: each blood product storage unit is equipped with one-two temperature probes that continuously monitor the device temperature. Data is stored in the computer system. System is capable of operation even when the computer PC is down. The system will send audible (as well as remote voice phone or email alarms) when temperatures fall outside specific programmed allowable ranges. See Note 22
