- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation being requested and written solicitations will not be issued. The solicitation number is F41614-02-T0094 issued as a request for quotation. Responses/offers are due by 17 Sep 2002. Please visit www.eps.gov and register to automatically receive procurement notification from EPS. The system will inform you, via e-mail, when there has been activity on EPS concerning this solicitation. Solicitation provisions are those in effect for Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08 and DCN 20020730. This acquisition is unrestricted with a NAICS Code: 81131 and the Size Standard: $6.0 Million. CLIN 0001-Contractor shall furnish all personnel, tools, materials, equipment, supervision and other items and services required to Repair/ Replace Carrier chiller, model number: 23XL1111EC40, serial number: 3893J47366 and compressor model Number: TC4BH00AG, serial number: 2893V09517 in building 3453. Contractor shall reclaim all refrigerant from the machine. The government shall provide cylinders for reclaimed refrigerant and will dispose of refrigerant. The contractor shall replace motor and compressor assembly, perform cleanup procedures to include burnout blocks and filters so as to remove any acid, moisture and sludge from the system, perform acid, moisture test after cleanup procedures have been accomplished to ensure system is clean, install new refrigerant filters after cleanup has been accomplished, leak test chiller and report any leaks found. After installing compressor, contractor shall charge chiller with refrigerant to proper level. The government shall provide refrigerant. The contractor shall replace all three (3) sets of contacts in the motor starter, check and tighten all electrical connections and check operation of compressor motor protection devices, i.e. current limiting device, motor overload, under voltage relay, motor over-temperature protector and circuit breaker. Contractor shall provide oil and oil filters necessary to complete the job, check oil temperature controls and adjust as needed, check condenser barrel and rod tubes if necessary, test and calibrate all safety operating controls and sensors, and run chiller to ensure proper operation. Operating logs and reports shall be sent to Mitch Halfmann, 17 CES/CEOF, 460 Kearny Blvd., Goodfellow AFB, TX, 76908-4710. The contractor will notify government of any warranty information. The government will provide refrigerant required to charge the chiller to a full charge. In accordance with FAR 52.252.1, the following solicitation provisions are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to offerors, Commercial Items.
