Description
The Library of Congress intends to issue delivery orders against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to renew subscriptions with East View Publications, Inc. for the continued use and access of their databases by the following FEDLINK members: GCMU East View Publications offers government libraries and specialized research facilities a complete range of electronic and paper subscriptions, and online databases covering areas throughout the Newly Independent States(NIS): UDB-COM-The Universal Database of Russian Newspapers, providing access to full text files from the top 30+ Russian newspapers on the day of publication. UDB-MIL- The Universal Database of Russian Military Periodicals, featuring the full texts of 29 major Russian military and security publications. UDB-GOV- The Universal Database of Russian Parliamentary Publications offers complete stenographic records of Duma hearings, draft laws, vote results, official resolutions, decrees and papers of record. The databases are accessible by Web browsers and are most efficient with Netscape 4 or Internet Explorer 4.1 or higher. In addition, the 1989 USSR Census and the Moscow News are available on CD-ROM. Prior year census data from 1897 Russian Empire Census to the 1989 USSR census are available on microfiche. Service will be continued through September 30, 2003. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. No telephone calls will be accepted. WRITTEN RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE PRICES AND TECHNICAL DATA SUFFICIENT TO DETERMINE CAPABILITY. No award will be based on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. (See Note 22).
