- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to solicit proposals for the fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, packaging, and delivery of Wide Aperture Array (WAA) Outboard Electronic Canisters (OBE). Three (3) First Article units will be required. The Government reserves the right to waive the requirement for First Article units if the Offeror can demonstrate that units which meet the technical requirements of the Critical Item Performance Specification (CIPS) have been previously furnished by the Offeror and have been accepted by the Government. Delivery of First Article units shall be made to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, RI. A five (5) year ID/IQ contract with FFP provisions is anticipated. The estimated quantities to be ordered each year are: FY03 120 units, FY04 120 units, FY05 80 units, FY06 80 units, and FY07 80 units. Delivery of production units shall be made to NAVSEA Detachment, Williamsburg, VA. Award will be made on the basis of "Best Value". Technical evaluation criteria are technical approach and past performance. This solicitation is unrestricted. NAICS Code is 334511; size standard is 750 employees. Clearance to the CONFIDENTIAL level is required. The Critical Item Performance Specifications (CIPS) for the WAA OBE are classified and not available on the web. Drawings are not manufacturing drawings and will be provided for information purposes only. Release of drawings and CIPS are subject to security approval and will be furnished once the solicitation is issued. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 09/17/2002.
