- NA REFER QUESTIONS ON DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS/SPECIFICATIONS TO KAREN JOHNSON, PLANS ROOM AT (251) 690-2535 or fax (251) 694-4343. The Contracting Officer is Leo J. Hickman. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, supervision, t ools, materials, and equipment, necessary to perform Operation, Maintenance, Repair and Incidental Construction of DOD Army Medical Facilities Nationwide, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The proposed contract will be a single award for an Indefin ite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract including a base year and four one-year options. The estimated value of the contract will be $10 million for the base year and $10 million for each option period, for a total estimated value of $50 million . Firm Fixed-Price Task Orders will be issued against the contract. The requirement is handled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, Mobile, AL. Refer to document in request. Bid documents are available on or about 27 September 2002 on t he Internet only. This procurement is an UNRESTRICTED requirement. Specific questions to this solicitation may be answered by Ms. Jacalyn Jenkins, 251-441-5598 (fax 251-690-2675). All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Th e NAICS code is 561210. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil, then click on contract bids . Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors' responsibility to check the Internet address liste d above daily, for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax, or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bid forms, bid bo nds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. For this job, a small business is defined as havin g average annual receipts of less than $23,000,000 for the past three years.
