- NA Conducting a market survey of industry to identify sources that are capable of manufacturing the M702 (MPTS). The technical description is: steel alloy (AISI 1340). Use of strand cast steel permitted IAW requirements of MIL-S-70703, Class I or II, type A is required. 60.000 Millimeter. Used for Ctg 60MM HE M888. A respondent to this market survey should be able to show that they have adequate technical capability, manufacturing capacity and good past performance. Interested companies who have the nec essary capabilities should respond by providing the following ifnormation: a brief summary of your company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel,and related manfacturing experience, estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quantitie s, estimated prices and the minimum procurement quantity required for production and size standard. If a respondent does not have adequate resources available he must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. FAR P art 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, is not being utilized in this acquisition however interested parties may identify their capability to satisfy the Government requirement with a commercial item. Please respond to this notice no later than 30 Septem ber 2002. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherw ise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized by OSC in developing its' acquisition approach for future requirements.
