- Description
- VA VISN 22 Network Business Center intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Continuum under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-08. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain "Delight" Dental Laser System Package, one (1) each, for the Dental Clinic at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 1700 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, NV 98106. Package includes: The Package includes: (a) optical fiber delivery system, (b) hinged fiber support pole, (c) fiber calibration port, (d) three (3) pairs of laser safety goggles, (e) two (2) stainless steel hand piece sleeves, (f) two (2) straight hard tissue tips, (g) two (2) curved 30-degree hard tissue tips, (h) five (5) curved 80-degree hard tissue tips, (I) one (1) soft tissue tip, (j) one (1) 90-degree autoclavable handpiece, (k) Operator's Manual, (l) Clinical Procedures Guidelines Manual, (m) "Laser in Use" warning sign, (n) two-day training session for dental staff, and (o) two-year warranty with service technician travel and lodging provided. (Salient characteristics/manufacturer's specifications for the equipment may be accessed at www.continuumlasers.com). This equipment and accessories must be compatible/interchangeable with existing, identical equipment and accessories in place at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for this equipment. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All proposals received by 4:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, September 6, 2002, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
