- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Cincinnati Ohio intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Alcon Laboratories Inc of Fort Worth, TX for the supply, on consignment, acrylic intraocular lenses. NAICS 339115. To the best of our knowledge, Alcon Laboratories Inc is the only company Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for acrylic lenses within the United States. This notice is not a request for comptitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, MDL 90C, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati Ohio 45220 or via fax to (513) 475-6334. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VAMC Cincinnati will proceed with the sole source neotiation with Alson Laboratories Inc. Government-wide Numbered Notes - 22.
