- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to FEI Company, Hillsboro, Oregon, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for one (1) each of the following: #FP 5012/40 GS Biotwin Upgrade (including high contrast pole pieces and high tilt objective stage with support computers running Windows 2000); #943290993361 NEC 18 LCD color monitor; #FP5362/02 Tecnai Extended Workstation. Each of the above elements must be compatible with existing FEI Tecnai 12 Electron Microscope. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with FEI Company. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM.. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
