- Description
- The Department of Energy?s Office of Energy Assurance (formerly SO-40)intends to issue a sole-source contract to iMapData, Inc. for the subscription to the Energy Infrastructure Management System (EIMS). EIMS is a fully operational subscription service that gives DOE the ability to assemble, view and query multiple geo-referenced datasets from varying sources in an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. EIMS will help DOE and its user community in the federal, state and territorial government agencies and private commercial corporations build and maintain and up-to-date inventory and archive of critical energy infrastructure and assess vulnerability and response capability. EIMS will provide a common format for jurisdictions to collect and share information and to access and display data sets already created by DOE user community. The proposed effort fulfills the mission of the Office of Energy Assurance to strengthen the United States? security through the application of science and technology to improve the reliability and security of critical energy infrastructure. The Fixed Price contract period of performance will be for 12-months. There will be no formal Request for Proposal issued for this action. See numbered note 22.
