- This is a sole source combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items (non-personal services) issued by the 509th Contracting Squadron, Whiteman AFB, Missouri. This document was prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented and in accordance with FAR FAC 2001-08 with additional information included in this notice. The United States Air Force intends to issue a sole-source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for equipment that is provided by Ferrous Metals Company. These items are not available through distributors or dealers. This is not a Request for Quotation, nor is it an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. All timely responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not it is advantageous to the Government to conduct a competitive procurement; no award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This electronic solicitation is the only solicitation being issued. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is F23606-02-Q-0012. The NAICS code 421510 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is 100. The item description is as follows: Five (5) 9000 pound Test Weight Special Tool and One (1) 3000 pound Test Weight Special Tool. End Item Description. The following clauses and provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. The clause at 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items. FAR 52.247-34 F.O.B (Freight on Board) Destination. The provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications applies to this solicitation and the offeror must include a completed copy of the provision with their proposal.
