- Description
- Construct two earthen dikes (combined length of approximately 710 linear feet) with flashboard risers, oneditch plug, and excavated swales for the restoration of a wetland area in Bamberg County, South Carolina. Major items of work include: 1.4 (est.) acres clearing and grubbing, 3,800 (est.) cubic yards compacted earth fill; excavation for dikes, ditchplug, and 1,067 linear feet constructed swales; 60 linear feet 24 in. corrugated metal pipe (barrel pipe); 70 linear feet 10 in. corrugated metal pipe (barrel pipe); 6.8 lin. ft. 24 in., and 5.2 lin. ft. 36 in. corrugated metal pipes (riser pipes); removal of 2,000 (est.) linear feet existing subsurface drain tile; and 1.6 (est.) acres seeding. Performance time, including mobilization and anticipated weather delays, is 38 calendar days. The estimated price is within the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation is subject to simplified acquisition procedures on an unrestricted basis. The NAICS code for this procurement is 234990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about September 11, 2002. Prospective bidders should register at the website to receive subsequent postings for this project and to be added to the list of interested parties. Prospective bidders are invited to attend a site showing on September 19, 2002. The site showing will begin at 9:30 A.M. at the NRCS Field Office, 3828 Main Highway, Bamberg, SC.
