Description
The Agency for Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS), through the Division of Acquisitions Management (DAM), Program Support Center, plans to award a 06 month sole source contract using simplified acquisition to the Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy, 1801 K Street, NW, Suite 701-L, Washington, DC 20006. The anticipated date of award is September 13, 2002. The contractor shall assist senior Agency leadership in identifying opportunities to disseminate information about the Director, OPPR, vacancy and utilize established networks within the health services research/health care communities to encourage qualified individuals to apply for the position. The contractor shall utilize a variety of mechanisms to ?advertise? the position including: (1) web site postings, LISTSERVs, announcements at workshops and conferences sponsored by or attended by AHSRHP; (2) letter campaigns; and (3) networking through established contacts. The contractor shall participate with AHRQ officials in the conduct of interviews once applications have been vetted through the traditional personnel process. Responsibilities also include assisting in the selection of panel members to serve on the review committee and/or interview panel, brainstorming interview questions and suggesting format and presentation ideas for the interview process. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of far 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
