- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to acquire using Simplified Acquisition Procedures ten surveillance kits providing disguised body-worn transmitters and a miniature portable receiver with miniature digital Mini-DVD recorder. The two transmitters are battery powered narrow-band and user programmable for 4-10 channels in the VHF frequency band. The receiver is user programmable for 10 channel VHF narrow-band reception (capable of wide-band reception so it may be used with old equipment until December 31, 2004). The receiver/recorder is operable on AC, DC or 9 VDC battery power. The requested devices include 10 channel disguised transmitters that are NTIA/APCO compliant, user programmable for narrow/wide-band, frequency, and automatic gain control (AGC) enabled or disabled. SSA will not pay for information received in response to this announcement. SSA will issue a Request For Quotation (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for this requirement to interested parties. Responses to this announcement must be received by SSA within 7 days of its publication
