Description
The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type contract for the acquisition of CPU Upgrading for the existing Kingfisher Adjunct Processor Workstation, with the newest state of the art hardware and software, as required by the Fleet Technical Support Center, Atlantic, Norfolk, VA. This Firm Fixed Price type contract is in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items" (CLINGER - COHEN). The NAICS Code is 541512. The SIC Code is 7373. The existing system has the following characteristics: a Standard 20 slot VME Chassis, Sparc 10 CPU Processor, Graphics Card, four (4) Port Serial/Parallel Controller Cards, two (2) Mercury i860 Processing Cards, Beam Interface Module, 2.3 Gbyte Hard Drive, 1 Gybyte Read/Write Optical Disk, Keyboard, Mouse, 21" Color Monitor, and a Rack Mounted UPS w/RS232 Interface. The new hardware must have at least the following characteristics: a 500 Mhz Processor with 512MB Ram that is compatible with Solaris 8.0 Operating system. It must reutilize the current configuration software and beam-forming algorithms written in "C", reutilize the X-Windows software previously written with Motif and Builders X, and it must be accomplished in steps ensuring the compatibility with the existing Beam Interface Module (BIM) and all current input/output will be maintained. All responsible sources must submit past performance and pricing data to the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center by 3:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. Detailed specifications and delivery requirements will be specified in the solicitation. Offerors are required to complete the SF 1449 and schedule of services. Potential offerors are hereby notified that that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil, and this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, or debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. The request for quote (RFQ) will be posted approximately 10 September 2002.
