- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, N.J. intends to procure Portable Hyudraulic Particle Counter Sets to be used to determine the particulate contamination level of aviation hydraulic and coolant fluids from either a sample bottle or while connected on-line to a hydraulic system via sample ports or adapters. These sets shall include in addition to the particle counter, all peripheral accessories and components, and storage cases to perform both on-line and bottle sampling. Also included in this Firm Fixed Price (FFP)Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) procurement will be the logistics support data and training necessary to support the sets in the field. Sets shall be supplied in two basic types: Type 1: For analysis of petroleum and synthetic based fluids (e.g. MIL-H-5606, MIL-C-87252 and MIL-PRF-83232). Type 2: For analysis of phosphate ester fluids (e.g. Skydrol). This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying "commercial items" as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations with provisions for ordering multiple sets over a three (3) year period. Stepladder quantities (1 EA to 600 EA) will be utilized in the RFP. Estimated date of issuance of the solicitation is 20 September 2002 and will be posted on the NAVAIR web site.
