Do Not Register On The Plan Holders List) San Francisco Deep Ocean Disposal Site (SF-DODS) LOCATION: Moss Landing CA JOB DESCRIPTION: SOURCES SOUGHT/NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT WITH ONE SOURCE. The proposed contract action is for San Francisco Deep Ocean Disposal Site (SF-DODS) environmental monitoring services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Moss Landing Marine Operations, Richard Muller, Marine Superintendent, Moss Landing, CA. The Point Sur is the only available research vessel, in the San Francisco Bay Area, of the required size and equipment to perform SF-DODS Environmental Monitorin g. The Point Sur crew has been performing the SF-DODS Environmental Monitoring Cruises since 1996, is familiar with the equipment operations and working with scientific teams. The Point Sur was approved as sole source back in 1996 when a MIPR was original ly approved to the ship?s federal owner the National Science Foundation. The operation and maintenance of the Point Sur has since been contracted over to Moss Landing Marine Operations. This information is for subcontracting possibilities. All interested parties may respond or submit statements of qualifications. Responses must include specific information as to the firm?s capabilities relative to the SF-DODS Environmental monitoring and the firm?s resources relative to research vessel and trained crew. Small business and 8(a) respondents must discuss their ability to perform 50% of the labor dollars with their own employees. All potential sources must identify their business size. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotat ions. The Government will consider responses received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is within the discretion of the Government. All responses are du e in not later than 06 Sep 02/1300.
