Description
NA This requirement was originally synopsized under DAJA22-02-T-0369 on August 17, 2002 with a planned release date 27 August 2002. The requirement is unchanged except the solicitation reference number has changed to DAJA22-02-B-0028 and additional detail added. Therefore, the SOL DAJA22-02-T-0369 is canceled in its entirety and replaced by the following SOL DAJA22-02-B-0028. Wiesbaden Contracting Center intends to competitively award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) services contract for the renovation of two ceilings in rooms at building 4141, USAMMCE, Husterhoeh Kaserne, Pirmasens, Germany, 66953. The project includes the installati on of new ceiling lights and suspended ceilings. The estimated cost is $25,000 to $100,000. The period of performance is 90 days after award and must commence in 20 days. No pre-bid conference will be held but bidders are encouraged to visit the work sit e. Ceiling elements shall be acoustic modular type, white (including frames for panels) , 625 x 625 mm and fire class A2. Lights shall be built-in 4 x18 W, type T26 fluorescent, VVG, 112 per room, distributed as shown on isolux diagram to achieve required il lumination intensity. The diagram may be viewed by appointment with the POC and will be provided to the successful bidder. Provide emergency lights built into ceiling with minimum illumination of 1 lux at 20cm above floor level for emergency walkways, VD E 0108. Emergency lights must be connected to the existing emergency light power source. In section A (Room 1), the space between the existing wall panels and the newly installed ceiling must be closed to match the existing walls. All lights shall be operated by one wall switch per room. Existing attic openings must remain accessible but covered with a removable ceiling door or panel that matches the ceiling. Only one half of a section can be worked on at a time to allow for regular use of the other half by office personnel. All non-remo vable property shall be protected to prevent damage and deterioration. Existing lights on the top of the office complex must remain and are not part of this renovation project. Federal Supply Class (FSC) code is Y300. Solicitation will be issued about 29 Aug 02. Quotations shall be submitted by 1600 hours CET, on 13 Sep 02 or the date specified in the solicitation if later. The solicitation may be requested via email. All interes ted parties are required to register at http://www.eps.gov/servlet/VendorRegistration for this solicitation to receive notices of modifications and updates.
