Description

This is a compilation of questions received and answered for the subject solicitation: (1) Are the AKR-10D-50 circuit breakers manually operated or electrically operated? Electrically operated, but would like manual controls too, if possible. (2) If the AKR-10D-50 breakers are electrically operated, please provide the voltage of the motor and control coils. (If the breakers are manually operated this information will not be necessary). [ Charging motor and close coil is 120 Volts AC. Trip coil is 24 volt DC. (3) Is the awardee required to perform any on-site work? It appeared to me that the breakers should be shipped by the awardee to the Lackland AFB site and that air force personnell will be installing the circuit breakers into the switchgear. This is correct. CEMIRT personnel will be doing the installation. The contract awardree only needs to deliver the items to the site. (4) Are the "blank" cubicles ready to accept AKR-10D-50 circuit breakers, i.e. are the blank cells equipped with drawout rails and primary disconnecting assemblies so that the breakers can be racked in without any cubicle modifications? After reviewing the Form 9s and the work order folder the answer is NO. We need the cubicle receptacles (cans) and all racking mechanisms, and whatever else is needed to accommodate the circuit breakers. CEMIRT will do the installation and wiring of the existing switchgear.
