Description
This modification is issued to add the following statment to this solicitation, ALL or NONE. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation reference number F04605-02-T-0013 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 315299 with 500 employees size standard. The contractor shall provide ?Fire Retardant? material for the outer parka and bib pants. This is to provide extreme weather protection with fire retardant materials, which is critical for use by aircrews. The total number of ensembles is 90. (1) 90 each: Nomex Parka Shells with natural ruff or Equal. Roughing is required. Roughing is a synthetic or natural fur, which encircles the hood of the garment to prevent wind from reaching inside. We also require the natural material as it offers greater protection and longevity, (2) 90 each: Expedition Liners, (3) 40 each: Fleece Mountain Jackets, (4) 90 each: Nomex Bib Pants with removable liner or Equal, (5) 90 each: Fleece Bib liners, (6) 90 each: Multi-Purpose Balaclava, (7) 90 each: Expedition Boots, (8) 50 each: Mountain Boots, (9) 90 each: Bolle Ski Goggles, (10) 90 each: Compression Bags, (11) 90 each: Musher Hats, (12) 90 each: Expedition Mittens, (13) 90 each: Wind Mittens, (14) 90 each: Polypro Glove Liners, (15) 90 each: Lanyard Sets, (16) 20 each: Fleece Mountain Jackets with wind stopper, (17) 100 each: Polypro socks, (18) 40 each: Polar Max Acclimate Tops or Equal, (19) 40 each: Polar Max Acclimate Pants or Equal, (20) 30 Pair Triple Coated Glacier Glasses. Size Breakdowns: Black Ensembles (Parka Shell and Bib Pant and appropriate liners and hats) (i) 20 Fleece Mountain with wind stopper should be sized to match these black ensembles, (ii) Polar Max or Equal under garments should be sized to match the black ensembles (2 each) (iii) Fleece Bib liners should be sized to match all 90 Bibs regardless of color. Please see the following for sizes: Small 2 each, Medium 4 each, Large 8 each, X-Large 6 each. Yellow Ensembles: Total of 12, Small 2 each, Medium 3 each, Large 6 each, X-Large 2 each, XX-Large 1 each. Red Ensembles: Total of 56, Small 5 each, Medium 15 each, Large 24 each, X-large 10 each, XX-Large 2 each. The following is the Fleece Mountain Jackets size breakdowns: 40 Total, Large 20 each, Medium 8 each, X-Large 8 each, Small 3 each, XX-Large 1 each. The following is the Expedition Boot size breakdowns: 90 Total, size 7 ? 5 pr., size 8 ? 10 pr., size 9 ? 15 pr., size 10 ? 30 pr., size 11 ? 15 pr., size 12 ? 10 pr., size 13 ? 5 pr., Mountain Boot sizes: size 7 ? 3 pr., size 8 ? 5 pr., size 9 ? 8 pr., size 10 ? 18 pr., size 11 ? 9 pr., size 12 ? 5 pr., size 13 ? 2 pr.. Request MFG. to size 90 glove pairs on standard curve to match ensemble order. NOTE: These items are to be used under extreme cold weather (Artic). Contractor shall provide product information, (i.e. catalog pages, descriptive literature brochures, etc.) with quote if proposing items other than those identified above.
