- The Department of State (DTS-PO), Fairfax, VA, intends to procure through competitive bids, services for the removal and disposal of old carpet and the purchase and installation of approximately 940 square yards of new carpet. The Statement of Work (SOW) can be found in RFQ S-DTSPO-02-Q-0158, which is posted at www.statebuy.gov. A site visit is required for this procurement. Quotes will only be accepted from contractors that attend the site visit, which is scheduled for September 4, 2002 at 1000. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. Requests for solicitations need only be made if a potential contractor has no access to the Internet. If necessary, requests or questions should be made by letter or facsimile to US Department of State, Diplomatic Telecommunications Service, Program Office, 3920 Pender Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030, attention DTS-PO/ADM/ACQ, Mr. John Andrews, facsimile number (703) 302-7892. The government will not pay for information received. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code is 235520. All responsible sources that attend the site visit may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the Department of State. The subject solicitation is available electronically at www.statebuy.gov.
