- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is preparing a Draft Specification MIL-PRF-49291/6, Title: FIBER, OPTICAL, TYPE I, CLASS I, SIZE IV, COMPOSITION A, WAVELENGTH B, RADIATION RESISTANT (METRIC). NAVSEA intends to draft specifications and standards to accommodate a variety of design solutions and processes, and to encourage a broad vendor base. The draft documents are accessible using a web browser and an Adobe Acrobat reader on the following web page: <http://www.navsea.navy.mil/specs&standards > Review and comment on the draft document is requested. Refer to the web site above for resposne deadlines. Comments may be submitted electronically via the NAVSEA web site or by mail, email or fax.
