- Description
- NASA/HQ plans to support/sponsor the Symposium entitled "The National Technical Association Scientists and Engineers 75 Annual Conference, Career Opportunity Fair, and Student Symposium." The authority is only one responsible source 10.U.S.C.2304=A9 (1). The procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The symposium objectives is to attract and keep underrepresented minorities, especially African Americans, interested in pursuing careers in the science, engineering and technology fields. The symposium will offer minorities the opportunity to disseminate their research to a broad based technical community, receive lectures on current research being conducted by professionals and students nationwide, examine, refine, and test their most recent research involvement and accomplishments, and establish and maintain professional contacts through follow-up meetings and electronic networking during the academic school year. The symposium will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 24-27, 2002, at the Excalibur Resort Hotel. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.=20
