Description
THIS IS MODIFICATION #2 TO SOLICITATION NUMBER: Reference Number-ODCP-TOR-01. CHANGES TO THE ORIGINAL NOTICE ARE IN ALL CAPITALS. THE PURPOSE OF MODIFICATION #2 IS TO CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT TO ADD THE FINANCIAL AND BUSINESS SOLUTIONS SCHEDULE. The Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, Procurement Services Division, Room 1310 G, Suite 400E, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20220, is issuing this pre-solicitation notice to contractors on GSA's MOBIS, FINANCIAL AND BUSINESS SOLUTIONS and/or IT Services' Schedules. Treasury has a requirement for a contractor to provide consulting expertise in the administration of pension benefit plans on an as-needed basis in accordance with Titles 5 (POLICE AND FIRE), 11 (JUDGES), and 38 (TEACHERS) of the Code of the District of Columbia and 31 C.F.R. Part 29 (APPEALS AND DEBT COLLECTION). PENSION BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION FOR THESE THREE PLANS MAY ALSO BE TASKED OUT. The technical consulting expertise shall cover a variety of subject matter, including human resources, information technology, software module testing, benefit process flows, and pension plan regulations, calculations, AND BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION. Treasury intends to award a task order on a "best value" basis to at least one contractor, for a basic one-year period of performance with four one-year options. However, Treasury reserves the right to make multiple awards. Any GSA MOBIS and/or IT Service contractor interested in receiving a copy of the Task Order Request Letter and Statement of Work ("Solicitation Package") should contact Harry Shank or Becky Barth via e-mail at harry.shank@do.treas.gov or rebecca.barth@do.treas.gov IN ADDITION, THE DUE DATE FOR REQUESTING A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE IS EXTENDED FROM 5 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28, 2002 TO 5 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 9, 2002. Requests must contain the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, GSA Schedule/Contract Number, Phone Number, Fax Number, and E-Mail Address. The Solicitation Package will be sent out via e-mail. Contractors requesting the Solicitation Package will be notified regarding their interest in giving oral presentations. Contractors should be prepared to give oral presentations in late September or early October.
