- Description
- This requirement is 100% small business set-aside, however if a small business cannot provide the items listed then a large business will be considered. The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms has a requirement for the following items: Provide analysis on DNA Samples on an as needed basis.The award will be based on the following criteria:Laboratory currently must be accredited by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors / Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB). Laboratory must be able to analyze blood, body tissues, salava, hair, semen, etc., and physical evidence that contain these types of samples for DNA identification or exclusion when compared to an individual. Laboratory may be asked to determine if sufficient DNA is present on physical evidence for comparison to an individual.EXAMPLE: Recovering DNA from cigarette butts, stamps or envelopes seals. Laboratory will state turnaround time for samples, indicating any extra charges for expedited service.. Laboratory must generate a report as to their findings. Fee schedule will be on a per sample basis.7. Vendor must specify cost of experts to testify at trial if required. Provide a fee schedule of services. This award will be made utilizing the simplified acquisitions procedure under FAR subpart 13.5. Award will be based on meeting the requirements listed above, on a all or none basis. All interested parties must submit a quote to include detailed literature on ability and resources to perform this service within 3 days after the date of this publication. Quotes are acceptable by mail of fax to 202 927-8688 to Attn: Sonia Goodman. All responses must be in writing. No telephone inquires will be accepted. No solicitation document exists.
