- FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex intends to procure under Simplified Acquisition Procedures on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302 from Kabar Manufacturing the following items specified below. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.5 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00181-02-Q-0680. The NAICS classification is 421830 and the small business size standard is 500. Numbered note 22 applies. Items must be received at NNSY no later than 27 September 2002. FOB Destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Receiving Officer, Bldg. 276, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Inspection and Acceptance is Destination. Item Description: ITEM 0001: QTY - 1 each Kabar RF Sealing machine, Model 15000, 15KW, 220 volt, 3 phase, 65 amps, bed size is 28 inches x 36 inches, platen 23 inches x 30 inches, generator with 12-14 press with extra daylight for reinforced bed, standard RF shielding, 2 hand buttons mounted on control pedestal, total time meter, 4-1/2 diameter booster cylinder interlock door on all removable parts, 115 volts control circuit. ITEM 0002 - QTY 1 lot RF sealing machines dies, assorted, aluminum as follows: flat bar dies one each of the following sizes 1" W x 7" L x 2-3/4" H, 1"W x 10"L x 2-3/4"H, 1"W x 12" L x 2-3/4" H, 1"W x 14"L x 2-3/4"H, 1" W x 16" L x 2-3/4"H, 3/4" W x 7"L x 2-3/4"H, 3/4" W x 10" L x 2-3/4"H, 3/4" W x 12" L x 2-3/4"H, 3/4" W x 14" L x 2-3/4"H, 3/4" W x 16" L x 2-3/4"H, 3/8" W x 7" L x 2-3/4" H, 3/8" W x 10" L x 2-3/4" H, 3/8" W x 12" L x 2-3/4" H, 3/8" W x 14" L x 2-3/4" H, 3/8" W x 16" L x 2-3/4" H, round dies 3/8" wide and 5" high: 2" diameter, 3" dia. 4", 5", 7", 8", 9" 10", 26", 11", 12" 14" 16" 18" 20" 22" 24" and 28" diameters. The following provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (5), (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (17) and (22), DFAR 252.212.7001 and DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration. Offer shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certificationl--Commercial Items and DFAR 252.212-7001.
