Description
The Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to procure on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis from Ventana, Business Center Drive, Tucson, AZ 85705, the following items: CLIN 0001: 39 Kits - DAB Detection Kits, Ventana P/N 760-001, CLIN 0002: 35 bottles ? APK Wash Solution, Ventana P/N 250-042, CLIN 0003: 41 Bottles ? Liquid Coverslip, Ventana P/N 250-009, CLIN 0004: 38 Kits ? Hematoxylin Counterstain, Ventana P/N 760-2021, CLIN 0005: 12 Kits ? Antibody ANTI-S-100, Ventana P/N 760-2523, CLIN 0006: 12 Kits ? Pan Keratin, Ventana P/N 760-2595. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00250-02-T-0105, is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a small purchase, small business set-aside The NAICS Code is 446199 and the Size standard is 100. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2001-07. The proposed contract action is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 03 SEP 2002 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Sole Source is based on compatibility with existing Ventana ES System. Responsible firm?s believing they can provide the above, should submit a written response to the Contracting Officer on or before 03 SEP 2002, providing detailed information, clearly showing their ability to do so without causing programmatic hardship to the program.
